The day it rained we sat home
Synopsis
A poetry film that captures the essence of a quiet afternoon where time softens and the world folds inward. Two presences remain still, listening to the small language of the room. In the hush between moments, memory drifts like weather unannounced, familiar, and tender. The film lingers on the fragile beauty of being somewhere with someone, where nothing needs to happen for everything to be felt.
Director's Notes
“The Day It Rained We Sat Home” was inspired by those rare afternoons when the world feels paused and every sound in the room becomes significant. I set out to make a film that honors the intimacy of small moments—the kind where simply sharing space becomes its own kind of story. Through quiet observation and lingering shots, I wanted to invite viewers to notice, as I did, how presence alone can fill a room with meaning. My hope is that this film serves as a gentle reminder: sometimes, doing nothing together is the most profound experience of all.
