Director's Notes
Making Act IV: Deciding Not To Be was an exercise in vulnerability and reflection. I wanted to capture the way profound realizations often arrive quietly—sometimes in moments of solitude or uncertainty. The film’s minimalism was intentional; by stripping away distractions, I could focus on the emotional core, both for myself and for those watching.
Throughout the process, I found that what I was searching for through the lens was actually a mirror—revealing my own questions about love, freedom, and compassion. Working with a small team meant every choice was deliberate, from lighting to movement to silence. What emerged was an honest piece shaped as much by absence as by presence.
My hope is that the film feels like an invitation: to pause, to notice yourself within the frame, and to consider how little acts of compassion can bind a world together—both seen and unseen.
